Accelerating science-based climate solutions through research, evidence, public engagement, and collaboration.
The Healthy Climate Initiative (HCI) is a nonprofit organization based in India and the United States that advances science-based climate solutions by connecting research, real-world evidence, policy, public engagement, and on-the-ground action. Recognizing that emissions reduction alone cannot address the urgency of the climate crisis, HCI works with scientists, academic institutions, policymakers, civil society, and global partners to accelerate responsible solutions that reduce near-term climate risks while restoring long-term climate stability.
To regenerate a healthy climate and make it safer for future generations.
To advance science-based solutions that reduce near-term climate risks and restore long-term climate stability—through sunlight-reflecting methods, glacier preservation, carbon dioxide removal, reforestation, and climate resilience.
In 2025, HCI expanded its mission by investing in people. Through partnerships with universities and civil society organizations, we conducted seven climate workshops across India, bringing together students, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders to explore practical solutions to the climate crisis.
To reach an even wider audience, HCI also hosted around 20 webinars, connecting global experts with emerging climate leaders and fostering continuous learning beyond in-person events.
